Lake Powell offers the Angler a unique experience for “Journey in Time” fishing. With its 2000 miles of shoreline, the Canyons offer some of the best fishing in Arizona and Utah and many very secluded. Because of the border so close you may be fishing in Arizona for your first catch and then in Utah for your second. Your fish possibilities for the fly fishermen or conventional range from striped bass, largemouth, smallouth, walleye and crappie. Fly fishing for stripers and smallmouth allows the avid flyfishermen the opportunity to fish very good fighting fish for a that angler challenge. Conventional and trolling is also very successful as well. Our season runs typically from April through November. For the real challenge, chase the boils for stripers in late August and into September &October. There is nothing like that rush when you see 100’s of striped bass from every angle and chasing them right on the top water. Many of our anglers come for their Annual Houseboat Fishing excursion and book a few days fishing with our Charter Guide Service to get a feel for the Lake and make the most of their fishing trip. We will arrange to meet you at your Houseboat and take you out on our boat for a day(s) of fishing Lake Powell. We also offer extended trips up Lake for the Angler who really wants to get as much fishing he can at Lake Powell. For those wanting to keep fish, Ambassador Guides will clean and filet your fish to take home with you. We launch from Stateline Marina which is located 1/4 mile past Wahweap Marina at Lake Powell Resort. Licensing can be purchased in town at Styx Market on Lake Powell Blvd. or at the Marina in Wahweap. We hope you enjoy your experience at Lake Powell and make Lake Powell Fishing a memory that will last a lifetime. Ambassador Guides is based in Page, AZ and is owned and operated by Bill &Judy McBurney. As a licensed Guide, Bill has been providing quality experiences for 30+ years
