Some rough seas this week as the port of Mazatlan was closed for 2 days. Bottom fishing was very tough due to the high swells although the fish are there. We landed some very nice permit this week as well but the savior of the week were the schools of Jack Crevalle off the shores of Mazatlan. Trolling Rapala X-Raps was the key. Too many doubles and triples to count. Also casting small Booyah jigs have been producing very well. There must have been 10,000 jacks in this school! These fish come to the surface every once in a while in huge schools and feed on sardines. We landed at least 50 plus a nice red snapper. Check it out!
