Sometimes a stalemate is not limited to chess. Dom and I both had good sailfish on, unfortunately they were both going in opposite directions and we were both seriously running short of line, hence Garry the Skip( he’s got other names) had no choice but to cut the engines. Precisely at that moment, after not seeing hide nor hair of another human being for eight days, a Customs Plane gives us the double swoop and asks us what we’re doing out here stationary. After numerous expletives are forthcoming from Garry, along the line of ’what the ?????????does it look like we’re???????doing’, Garry recognises the voice and its laughs all round, though they refused to give us a copy of the picture of their third swoop later on, perhaps seven brown eyes were a tad too much. |
