Offshore from the Kimberley coast there are roughly 3000 islands, into whose waters flow some of Australia’s largest rivers. Mix this with a tidal range of 11-12m and its no wonder these coastal waters are both turbid and turbulent. Rocky outcrops and solitary rocks are everywhere and each with its own squad of lure munchers.
Giant Trevally, they actually attacked other fish going for our poppers, bullocking them out of the way so they could get first whack at our lures.
