| Fishing Report |
| Jardines De La Reina. You’ll find some of the finest bonefishing in the world in the JDR. Since these flats are never commercialy fished, they are teeming with bones that average a solid four to six pounds.
An angler has lots of opportunities daily for fish in the seven to nine pound class. Bones in the 10-14 lb. class have been caught with more regularity especially in the last years thanks to the Marine park, but what is impressive are the overall numbers and average size. |

| Isla De La Juventud. The habitat is similar to Jardines de la Reina with Mangroves, channels and deep flats where most of the tarpons caught were from 15lbs to over 120lbs. Is probably one of the best tarpon fishery in the world.
Low pressure, virgin flats and perfect habitat are the keys factors for this amazing fishing. From February till end of June big tarpons are out in the flats and ready to offer you an unforgettable tarpon experience. |

| Cayo Largo. Quite abundant in Cayo Largo, where they live up to their reputation of being the most frustrating fish of the flats. Lots of skill and patience are required, but a fair number of “grand slams “ have been achieved by many anglers. Permit primarily forage on flats and intertidal areas, entering shallow water on incoming tides from deeper adjacent channels and basins. They usually travel in schools of about ten, but may school in larger numbers. |

| Tarpon rate as the strongest, most acrobatic and most exciting saltwater species on the fly. Even juvenile fish will put your angling skills to the test. A large number of tarpon are resident year round in Cayo Largo tidal channels and flats with migrating fish showing up in April until August. In most circumstances, fish are see rolling and the angler will try to approach within casting distance. Tarpon are often found in schools with other tarpon and are opportunistic eaters. |
