Sportfishing Los Roques and Rio Chico with Chapis Sport Fishing. Los Roques has been appointed as a National Park, thus no new building can be constructed on the islands; besides that, long-line fishermen have been forbidden and others kinds of fishing have been restricted or regulated. As a result, the amount of fish dwelling there was increased steadily, while other types of game fish have emerged into these protected waters, like big Tarpons weighing 80 lbs. and even up to 100 lbs. which can be sight–cast either by wading or from the boat, big Permits, Jacks and enormous Snooks weighing around 20 lbs. have been hooked and released too.
