Stunmaii 11 The Stunmai II is a 36’ Harris, powered by a Cummins diesel. She has a full array of electronics, as well as all required safety equipment. The Stunmai II is an ideal fishing platform for both the experienced angler and the novice alike. With a maximum of 6 passengers, there is plenty of room for everyone. The Stunmai II features rod and reel combinations that are tailored to the type of fishing that is productive in Cape Cod Bay.
Fishing Tackle As well as a full compliment of standard tackle, the Stunmai II carries an extensive selection of lighter tackle that can be handled by the younger anglers and is also more of a challenge to the experienced angler. For those wishing to attempt to break the world records on the 2 lb. test gear, a full day trip must be booked. It is quite possible to be on a bass or bluefish for hours. Whether a novice angler, or a seasoned pro, the captain and crew of the Stunmai II will do what it takes to get you ’tight’ on a big striped bass or hard fighting bluefish! Captain Hap Farrell has made it his goal to provide some of the lightest trolling tackle used on any charter boat on cape Cod Bay. Hw will teach the novice on its use and provide tackle as light at tournament grade 2 lb. test tackle to the more seasoned angler.
Remember, the Stunmai II fishes out of Rock Harbor, in Orleans. Rock Harbor is a tidal harbor, so sailing times are dictated by the tides. Right now, 20th of July, the fishing is a little slow. There are plenty of bluefish but the stripers are hiding out somewhere. What we need is a weather change to push the fish back. We will be getting back to landing some of the big bass that Cape Cod Bay is known for. To date I’ve taken two big fish on my light tackle systems.
