The Fishing
The last week in September is shaping up to be an excellent fishing week for our anglers.We are having a strong Pacific sailfish bite about 2 miles off the lighthouse beach on the Pacific side. Dorado action is also excellent with most charters landing 6 to 20 dorado in the 15 to 70 pound range. The striped marlin bite has also been good on the Golden Gate seamount and in surrounding waters.
Blue Marlin action has been fair, with most activity occurring in the sea of Cortez around the 1150 and the 95 spot. There has been a 600 pounder released in the last week and multiple releases in the 250 to 400 pound range.
The Finger Bank is also heating up, on two recent trips we had over 20 striped marlin releases one day, along with tunas and dorado and on another day the clients had over 25 dorado, over 30 yellowfin tuna and 4 striped marlin releases!The Finger Bank should just get better
Cabo is such an excellent location for marlin fishing – known, in fact, as the Marlin Capital of the World – because of the unique conditions along the Mexican coastline. Currents running south from California combine with those of Mexico make for the ideal conditions for attracting sport fish and their prey. In addition, the right depths of the sea floor provide great grounds for the thriving of all sorts of sport fishes, not just the marlin.
We offer boats from 24 feet to over 70 feet and can accomodate from one to over 25 people depending on the vessel chosen. All our charters include all lunches, drinks, licenses and live bait. We also use the latest in technology and Satellite Sea Surface Temperature Analysis to guide and direct our fishing efforts to the most productive waters!
