Big Game Fishing in the waters of Zanzibar and the Pemba channel. There are no less than six different types of billfish in the Zanzibar’s Pemba channel just north of Nungwi and your chances of catching at least 3 different types in a season are really good. There are huge sharks, Mako, Tiger, Thresher and Hammerhead, tuna fishing, large wahoo, king mackerel, dorado, barracuda, and record size giant trevally plus many others.

We fish by trolling a combination of lures or natural dead baits (Ballyhoo or strips) or live bait. Our skippers and crew are also experienced at all disciplines of fishing whether your requirements be spinning, fly fishing, jigging, popping for Giant Trevally etc, power chumming or drifting with baits. Our well equipped and catered sports fishing boats and resourceful crews will ensure your absolute enjoyment out on the water.
 
  The Boats
We have three boats, Unreel, Surreel and the latest addition to our fleet, Sansuli are well equipped and fully rigged to make your fishing trip with us an unforgettable experience. Whether your requirements are Trolling for big Marlin, Night fishing for Broadbill Swordfish, Fly fishing for Dorado and Sailfish or Jigging and Popping for Giant Trevally, we have the boat for you! Sansuli is regarded as one of the greats in blue water game fishing.
 
 
The Fishing
We are members of the International Game Fish Association and actively encourage our “catch and release” policy of all Billfish and Sharks unless they are likely to be East Africa, All Africa, World record fish, or the skipper believes that the fish is unlikely to survive release. With Leven Bank just 5 miles north of Nungwi and the drop-offs and deep blue water east of Mnemba Island about 12 miles east, our well equipped fishing boats and professional crews will have you in the mix in no ti
 
Billfish such as Striped, Black and Blue Marlin as well as the acrobatic and dazzling Sailfish and elusive Shortbill Spearfish abound in these crystal waters! Yellow fin tuna, Dorado, Wahoo, Barracuda, Kingfish (Trevally), King &Queen Mackerel and the lesser game fish such as Bonito tuna, Skipjack tuna and Rainbow Runner provide endless hours of adrenalin filled Game Fishing action out on the water!

In peak Marlin season, the bill fish move up to the coast line to gorge themselves on tuna.
 
These fish show inexhaustible displays of strength and a chance at a personal best is very good. Basically our seasons take place with the tuna season running from August to October, and then the billfish season for marlin and sailfish running from November till March. Large Tuna can reach up to 100 kg’s, with many schools of 50 kg tuna still migrating through our waters. The tuna are followed by the big marlin.
