Russia’s Kamchatka Rainbows
Fishermen have great choice for the season fishing the Northern River the Osediaya are the Mid Kamchatka River the Kolpakova. Both Rivers are big producers of Large Rainbows and many other species of fish. The Osediaya River lays north of the Famed Sadanka River about 50 miles and flows west into the sea of Okhotsk. The Kolpakova River is located in the Mid Kamchatka region and on the west side of the Peninsula and floes west into the sea of Okhotsk. A great river to fly fish. Note::: There are many rivers in Kamchatka Russia that have great fishing, but there are not enough days, in a persons life time to fish them all.

These streams, will be yours for the entire fishing week.

Our camps have 24 hours a day satellite telephone service to Petropavlovsk and portable radio contact with your guides to the camp each day while on the stream fishing. The Fishing
Fishing in Russia with the abundance and variety of fish through out the whole season is becoming more attractive to the American Angler. The accommodations are not as good but the fishing is outstanding. Trout in Russia can be taken an Dry or wet flies. It’s best to bring a good selection of both. I will suggest some flies what work well on all fish there.

Fishermen using fly rods should bring at least a 7 to 8 wt. rod for best results. For spin fishing, one must bring medium tackle unless catching King Salmon, then use heavy wt. rod and reel. Before booking your trip to Russia, be informed of what fish is available during the week you would like to fish. There are 6 species of Salmon, 3 species Char, Large Greyling, Brown Trout and the Big Rainbow Trout.

All Russia’s Kamchatka trips require a overnight in Anchorage Alaska on your way to Russia due to the early departure of Dalavia Air Lines which is located on the North Terminal Building of the Anchorage International Airport. There are many reasonable priced hotels near the airport.
