About JoAnn &Capt. Jack Riley For the past 20 summers JoAnn and I have commercial, sport, and charter fished the East Cape and Islands out of Harwichport, Ma. Prior to that we fished the offshore waters south of Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard, Block Island, and Montauk out of Pt. Judith. Jack is a certified U.S. Coast Guard Captain, a member of the Cape Cod Charter Boat Association, and the IGFA. JoAnn earned a B.A. degree from Wheaton College, MA and an MBA.
The Fishing The Maverick offers full and half day trips for striped bass, bluefish, albacore, bonito and school tuna from May through October. We also offer full day/night charters for Giant Bluefin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna and Shark from June until the seasonal fishing quota is met. You will sail out of beautiful Allen Harbor in Harwich Port on Cape Cod to fish on the fabled rips of Monomoy,The Islands,Crab Ledge,’BB Buoy’, ’BC Buoy’,and the Regal Sword.

Many custom charters combine watching seals, porpoise and whales as they feed in the same areas we sport fish. Having repowered our 38’ Topaz sportfisherman with new Volvo Penta’s the Maverick is one of the fastest sportfishing boats in the charter fleet. This increased speed allows us to offer one and two day canyon trips to fish for yellowfin, longfin, bigeye and albacore. On these trips we will also target blue and white marlin, mahi mahi and swordfish.
