Jim Henschke started his fishing career at the early age of 12 on the Comox Bar, in Courtenay, working for Crown Zellerback. He fished with live needlefish that he racked on the bar.In 1991, Ken Jenkins, from Codfather Charters asked Jim if he would guide for him. Jim guided for Codfather Charters for 16 years every June, July and August. Jim guided the largest salmon(60lbs)2007 on the Northern Vancouver Island, and largest Halibut (196lbs) 2007

Seasons for best fishing - Book early for best dates. May through September for Halibut. June through August for Salmon. Coho June through August. Here is 4 great reasons why you should reserve a charter with us! We use only top quality gear, rods and reels. We specialize in trophy fishing on light gear. Largest Spring Salmon guided in 2007 - 60 lbs. Largest halibut guided in 2007 - 197 lbs. Please note that a deposit required 2 months prior to charter equal to half of the full amount payable.
