Chris Myers has been fishing the Lagoon for 20 years. Catch redfish up to 30 pounds in clear shallow water from a 16ft Hewes flats skiff using top quality tackle. Stalk trophy seatrout In addition to redfish, trophy sized seatrout are abundant in Mosquito Lagoon. The can be sight fished with fly or artifical lures year round. The masters of camoflage will put your casting skills to the test. As a fellow fly fisherman, I understand how to put you in the best position to cast to a tailing redfish or trophy sized seatrout. Watching the fish chase down and engulf your lure adds to the excitement of the catch.

The Fishing
Located along the east central coast of Florida

fishing waters in the area. Seasonally, you may
encounter rolling tarpon from 5-150 lbs, snook
around docks and mangroves, black drum on the
flats and under bridges, and flounder in the creeks and inlets. The diverse estuary also offers opportunities to catch jack crevalle, pompano, ladyfish, grouper, snapper, and more.
Flats Fishing Charters - The waters of the Mosquito Lagoon and Indian River near Orlando are along Florida’s Space Coast offer something for everyone. Located near Orlando, it is an easy drive from anywhere in central Florida. No prior experience is necessary. The captain will provide all bait, tackle, and licenses. You can request to target a specific species or simply go after whatever is biting.
Sight fishing Charters - Designed for the experienced angler, your captain will
silently pole you in the clear grass flats of the Mosquito Lagoon or the Indian or Banana River Lagoons in East Central Florida while you cast to redfish and trout you can see. Quick accurate casts are required. The more you practice your casting, the better your success. Instructional Charters - If you are a beginner or have limited fishing experience but are eager to learn more, this trip is for you.
