Well gooday all,
Wishing all of you a fish-full 2012.
Its been an amazing season to say the least with just about every species having been caught or seen, from the inshore excursions to the offshore excursions and everything in between has produced a multitude of game-fish.
Traditionally an inshore trip is down to CAPE POINT targeting YELLOWTAIL and SNOEK however since NOVEMBER we have caught plenty of YELLOWFIN TUNA and seen even more jumping and feeding making exiting fishing and tackle selection a bit of a guessing game.
On the offshore side we have had a great YELLOWFIN season starting in OCTOBER with a lot of big fish till now with a number of smaller class 35kg fish keeping our anglers nice and busy.
Some of the species caught or seen DORADO,WAHOO, MANTA RAYS WHALE-SHARK, KILLER WHALE MARLIN (both striped and black) and then obviously our traditional species of TUNA (longfin,yellowfin,skipjack,big-eye), yellowtail, snoek and katonkal.
Looking ahead the water has warmed up significantly so were probably going to see a slowing of tuna till the end of MARCH when I have no doubt they will return in full force giving us another APRIL and MAY cracker.
That of course means plenty of inshore GAME-FISHING down to CAPE POINT till then.
Always REMEMBER to book and fish with the professionals with a track record that speaks for itself and only book with CAPE CHARTER BOAT ASSOCIATION MEMBERS in this way you are assured of a great experience.
