   Sport Fishing with Dan Hernandez

Tuna News 
It was near the end of June when the San Diego boats started to catch albacore in the 80 to 100 mile range. First it was a few fish per boat then as the weeks went on it turned to a few per angler then on to limit style fishing. Well after 6 weeks of great albacore and bluefin tuna fishing the parade just stopped and no one knows why. Now after 4 weeks of no offshore tuna and the end of August the story is starting all over again but now it’s the warm water fish. The boats are starting with a few bluefin tuna, yellowfin tuna, dorado and yellowtail. So it starts the beginning of the fall tuna season. As the weeks go on the fishing should only get better. We have a few tuna trips on the books. The next is on the Dolphin 2, Seaforth Landing on Sept 8 for a 1 ½ day trip. Then it’s back on the Indian, H&M Landing on Sept. 23 for a 1 ½ day trip.

Dan's Update 
As you read this we will be filming today aboard the Sea Angler out of 22nd Street. Our next fishing trip will be on the Mirage on the 31st fishing the Channel Islands. Several of you have been asking for more travel trips so I've added two for you in October. Our first trip will be a surf fishing weekend get away to the Rosarito Beach Hotel. We'll be filming a surf fishing trip there from October 8th -10th and you are invited to join us. We worked out a special package with the resort, for only $254.00 you'll get two night and three days there at the resort for two people and you can have two kids in your room for no extra change. We also have meal plan available too. I'll be there with our film crew and we'll be filming it all for my TV program. Our Next trip will Be October 29th - November 1st to Costa Rica., we'll be on the Caribbean coast fishing for tarpon. Call our office at 562-865-3764 for all the details. 

Rosarito Beach Hotel Get away weekend

Make planes to join us Oct. 8th -10th for a surf fishing get away. Rosarito is only a 35 minute drive south from the border and offers some great surf fishing. This will be a great opportunity to fish with me and our film crew. Call our office today and reserve your room.
Costa Rica

We only have room for ten anglers to join me in Costa Rica, we haven't been there for two years, but last time we were at Silver King Lodge we had great fishing for monster size tarpon. We'll be there October 29th - November 1st. Cost is $2365.00 plus air. Call our office for details.
Tuna Fishing
