Humpback Whales and Whale lovers worldwide  celebrated an early Christmas today with Japan's decision to cease culling these gentle giants.  Due to international pressure born of increasing public concern, it was announced "Japan will not hunt humpback whales". There's still a long way to go but it should be a massive shot in the arm for whale lovers worldwide to realise that if you speak out loud and passionately enough, you will get heard. Its great to know that their seriously friendly antics will no longer be greeted with a harpoon.

Big%20smileHere Here .... Well said Paul!
We must also spare a thought for the whales of the ocean who weren't
spared by Japan's recent back down on this needless slaughtering. The
Minkes, Southern Wrights and other Gods of the ocean will face a real
battle ahead next year. With further public and international pressure we
can all hope and pray that the harpoons currently on the ocean will one
day become artifacts in a museum.
