Fishing In Kosi Bay South Africa

This Last week was a pretty quite week at Kosi Bay Cabins however the weekend picked up beautifully and 2 groups of fishermen arrived at the Lodge. On Friday night a couple of guys from KZN booked in and received the neccessary permits to go out to Black Rock, a well known spot in the area, sporting some good game fish! On Saturday they set out early that morning, even with the wind blowing in off the Ocean, to try their luck but although according to them the fishing was great the rewards were not so so good. the question I asked myself "Was it the fish or the fishing that was in question?" However Sunday turned out more fruitful as they returned after a day in the sun boasting with a number of Sea Pike and 2 GT's which they bragged about! There were also claims made of a Kingfish which was dropped a way offshore. They left on Monday morning hoping to return in October again to try their luck and some Deep Sea fishing with one of the Guided Charter operators in the area. Yesterday a group of 7 men arrived. They announced their arrival as a fishing group and therefore i am looking forward to reporting next week on some good fishing and even better fish!
