It was announced that Stren Series tournaments will be cut from four days to three days in an effort to help anglers feeling the pressure of higher fuel prices and increased expenses. Top awards on the pro side remain unchanged at $25,000 plus a Ranger Cup bonus of a 198VX bass boat powered by a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Yamaha outboard. Top awards on the co-angler side will increase dramatically from $5,000 to a new Ranger 177TR powered by a 90-horsepower Evinrude or Yamaha outboard plus a $5,000 Ranger Cup bonus.
